You don't have to be grown to grow

The Odd Couple dropped on March 25th, I bought it on the 26th and listened to that album for three days straight. The beats are spot on, smooth and hip groovin'. The vocals are top notch even though Cee-Lo's range isn't as varied as it was on St. Elsewhere. The tone of The Odd Couple is noticeably different then that of St. Elsewhere--perhaps a little less mo-town funky and a little more contemporary funky, still fun, but there seems to be an underlying somber tone to the entirety of the album. The second song on the disc, "Who's Gonna Save My Soul" is soul &heart-wrenching number. Then if you don't find yourself clapping along with "Going On" you really need to go out and have some more fun in your life. "Blind Mary" is probably my favourite track off The Odd Couple it's fun, laidback and reminds me of playing on the playground at recess. It's definitely one of those afternoon driving tracks of early Summer. Another act I'd love to see live.
